Little Rabbit was a shapeshifter who couldn’t change into a human even by the time of her coming-of-age ceremony. Her family dismissed her as nothing more than a halfling, abandoning her in a woven basket. “Tears won’t save you now—go ahead, cry harder,” a voice taunted. That’s when she was found by a ruthless black panther with a cruel streak. “You’re weak. I’ll give you two days to build your strength before I devour you,” he sneered. The predator’s piercing gaze locked onto her shivering form, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement. “This is exciting,” he murmured. She wanted to scream—this creature was clearly unhinged! Surviving under his watch seemed impossible. “Wild beasts claim what they want, no matter the cost,” he growled. Could she ever escape his clutches? The odds were stacked against her.
