The story follows the Demon King as the male lead. When Seirin writes a novel filled with fictional scenes about him, the King accuses her of libel since none of it actually happened. Thinking only the Queen read the book, he makes a deadly vow on his magical gem to punish anyone who has read it. But when he discovers Seirin has a massive fanbase, he scrambles to clear the charges by reenacting half the steamy, intimate scenes from her book.
To avoid punishment and keep selling her novel, Seirin agrees to become the royal palace’s resident writer, crafting easier-to-perform stories. Despite dying a virgin with no real experience, she can’t help but be drawn to the King’s striking looks and occasional kindness. Meanwhile, the Queen hopes Seirin will become the King’s concubine so she can fulfill her duties and finally return home.
