GATE – Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

In the 21st century, a mysterious gate suddenly appears in Tokyo’s Ginza district. From it emerge terrifying monsters, medieval European knights, and other fantastical creatures that slaughter countless civilians in what becomes known as the Ginza Incident. In response, the Japanese government dispatches a special unit from the Self-Defense Forces to explore the alternate world beyond the gate. The team, led by an otaku soldier named Yōji, soon discovers villages under attack by a fearsome dragon. Along their journey through this perilous new realm, they are joined by an elf girl—the sole survivor of the dragon’s destruction.
