One day, my father brought me a boy slave he had rescued from the battlefield, all because of the boy’s striking appearance. “He has a seal carved into his heart,” my father explained. “As long as you hold this bead, he can never defy you. Command him however you wish.”
When the boy heard my first order, his expression darkened. Did I go too far, treating him like nothing more than a dog? As my father tightened his grip on the bead, the boy dropped to his knees before me. “Master,” he murmured, his crimson eyes gleaming with an unsettling light as his lips curled into a maddened grin.
Why was he looking at me like that? I did everything I could to treat him well!
Yet, no matter what I did, I couldn’t seem to escape him—I failed to abandon the villain, the schemer who clung to me relentlessly.
