Is it Tough Being a Friend?

Is it hard being friends with someone like Ryuuga? At first glance, he seemed like the typical anime protagonist—mysterious, brooding, the works. But the more I got to know him, the more I realized just how unusual he really was. For starters, he never talks about his past. Not a word. And then there’s the way he keeps disappearing from class, only to return looking completely drained—lips bleeding, uniform torn at the sleeves and cuffs, like he’s been through some kind of battle. It’s… not exactly normal.
