Leopin was born with extraordinary dexterity, which he used from a young age to help others through various crafts. Along with his friends, he enrolled at the Royal Pioneer Academy. But during the entrance ceremony’s “Ritual of Ability Development,” his results were shockingly bad—his status read: “Occupation: Unemployed.” Every stat except dexterity stayed at its base level, unable to grow, and his only skill was labeled “Dexterous Poor.”
His classmates, seeing no value in him beyond his dexterity, cast him out. Leopin was sent to the “Special Training Class,” a dumping ground for failures, left completely alone. However, he soon discovered that his seemingly useless skill had an incredible hidden ability—it allowed him to convert his dexterity into any other stat and change his occupation at will.
First, he became a lumberjack to gather wood from the forest. Then, switching to carpenter, he built the finest house in the academy. He took on the role of an appraiser to identify rare treasures, then became a battle axe wielder to fend off hostile students. When exploring dungeons, he became a ranger, and to bypass traps with ease, he turned into a ninja. Alone, Leopin gained the power to do anything.
As he grew stronger, his childhood friend—a saint—admired him, and a beautiful alchemist took notice of his talents. Meanwhile, the classmates who had rejected him watched in regret as their own situation worsened. Stuck in shabby huts, unable to explore or progress, they slowly lost their standing in the academy, facing ruin while Leopin thrived.
(Note: “Dexterous Poor” doesn’t mean weak dexterity—it’s more like a “jack of all trades, master of none.” While he could do a bit of everything, he supposedly couldn’t excel enough to make a living from it… or so they thought.)
