Subaru Mikazuki is a reclusive writer who lost his parents in an accident. Preferring solitude, he avoids going outside and sees human interactions as distractions from his creative thoughts. But everything changes when he meets a stray cat that sparks inspiration for his next novel. As Subaru bonds with the cat, named Haru, his isolated world begins to open up. Through their growing friendship, Haru helps him rediscover the warmth of family.
