Haruma Kiki had always dreamed of being the graceful, feminine partner in ballroom dancing. But as she grew older, her height kept increasing, making her feel awkward in dresses and anything traditionally feminine. Now in her second year of high school, she’s embraced the masculine leader role instead—until her dance partner unexpectedly quits.
Then Toribami Michiru, a petite and pretty first-year student, arrives wanting to join the club. Kiki asks her to be her new partner, but Michiru has a surprising condition—she only dances as the leader, and she wants Kiki to be her partner instead.
