One-Punch Man (by ONE) tells the story of a hero who can defeat any opponent with just a single punch. While this might sound like a dream come true, it actually leaves him feeling bored and unfulfilled—he misses the excitement of a real challenge. His struggle with the emptiness of overwhelming strength makes him reflect on why he wanted power in the first place.
The series gained even more popularity when Murata Yuusuke, known for his work on Eyeshield 21, teamed up with ONE to create a visually stunning redrawn version. The translation began at Chapter 31 because the redrawn version was already close to that point by the time the project started.
