In Record of Ragnarok, the gods gather to decide humanity’s fate and ultimately choose to wipe them out. However, a valkyrie steps in with a proposal—instead of outright destruction, the gods and humans should settle things in a final battle. Thirteen gods will face off against thirteen legendary human warriors in single combat, with the outcome determining whether humanity survives or perishes.
