In 2021, the brilliant illusionist Harry Makito was performing his farewell show in Tokyo—a one-night spectacle marking his retirement—when tragedy struck. Flames engulfed him in a shocking accident, seemingly ending his life at just 17. Or so the world believed. Miraculously, he survived, but not in his own time.
