Satoko Tawada is an office worker approaching thirty, still searching for meaning in her life. One day, she stumbles upon Mashuu Hayami, a lonely twelve-year-old boy practicing soccer alone in the park. On a whim, she decides to help him train, drawing from her own soccer knowledge.
As they continue meeting daily, an unexpected bond forms between them. When Satoko is betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, Mashuu is there to comfort her. And when she learns about his distant parents, she begins to take an interest in his well-being. Despite their age gap and different circumstances, their shared loneliness brings them closer.
But as their connection deepens, Satoko starts questioning her own emotions. Are these feelings maternal, or is there something more? Their unusual relationship blurs the lines between friendship, care, and something harder to define.
