Welcome to Kōdo Ikusei Senior High, a top-tier school with cutting-edge facilities where almost every student graduates into university or a job. Here, students enjoy complete freedom—they can choose any hairstyle and bring whatever personal items they like. On the surface, Kōdo Ikusei seems like a dream school, but in reality, only the highest-performing students receive special treatment.
Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, the protagonist, is stuck in D-class—the dumping ground for the school’s so-called “inferior” students, meant to humiliate them. He ended up there after intentionally slacking off on his entrance exam. But when he meets his classmates Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, his quiet school life starts to shift in unexpected ways.
